Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer, was born in London on 22 August 1995. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and put out a self-titled album in the year 2017. The album reached number. 3 in the U.K. Charts. The album had eight songs released such as Be the 1 I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules. In the United States it peaked as sixth in the charts. Lipa's album, which has since been certified Platinum in various countries across the world has won the two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) in the categories of British Female Single Artist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London, was born on 22 August 1995. Dua Lipa has Bosnian ancestry through her grandmother. Additionally, her ancestors are from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. Her grandfathers were historians as well. She is the sister of Rina Lipa, and has one younger brother, named Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father, who was the lead singer and guitarist of Oda, the Kosovan rock group Oda. Her father at home continued playing music which included his original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa was barely five when she first began to sing. The Sylvia Young Theater School was the first place she began to sing as she was nine years old. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not Gone You with Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. The contract for her record with Warner Bros. Records was announced in 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single, was released in August 2015.
