Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was just 5 years old. She grew up in Orange County. Her biggest break was in 2015. She graduated in 2015 with a an education from the University of California San Diego. Pernas was a small part in NCIS and Leverage. Then she landed the role as Marisa at The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap-opera Jane the Virgin in 2016 The actress was appointed as Catalina the character that appeared on the show regularly. The model who speaks four languages has since appeared on The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. From the year 2019 until 2020, she was Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly confirmed in May 2020 that Pernas is dating her ex- The Young and the Restless actor Justin Hartley. The romance came shortly after Hartley's This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November of 2019. In May 2021, the news broke that Pernas Hartley has recently tied the knot in private.
