Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Her initial inspiration was shadows cast on grass. A few months later she devised a process which did not make the subject on canvas as an image that was flat. More like the subject has been transformed into it's own representation, and the surface takes on the artist's interpretation. This is especially effective when working with living things as well as items that have a shelf life like people or fruits. The transient nature of her painterly style is obvious and what survives in Alexa Meade's art is a photographs. Trompe l'oeil is achieved through the combination of two methods of painting and photographing. This creates two-dimensional flattened picture. At times, Meade integrates her painted models into the three-dimensional space around them, allowing the models to be part of this self-created world. The lines between performance, photography, and installation can be dissolved.
