Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was born in Epsom (Surrey) as the daughter Josephine who works as a laboratory technician and John Ormond. Ormond is the second of five children born to her parents. Her early performances in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady attracted attention. Then she attended Cranleigh School and Guildford High School. After one year of art school, she was transferred to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. She graduated in the year 1988. Ormond was first seen on British television in 1989's serial Traffik. The series was centered on the illicit heroin trade, from the far East up to Europe. Ormond played the heroin-addicted daughter of the main character, who was a Home Office minister who was involved in fighting heroin importation. It was the first time Ormond had a role and received glowing reviews.
